PreCalculus

In this class so far I have studied trigonometric subjects in preparation for Calculus.

Precalculus project: Personal Connection

We chose the concept of continuous exponential growth versus regular exponential growth  because we developed an interest in this concept after learning it in class. We found the concept interesting because of how many applications there is for it. We wanted to explore how the graphs of Continuous and regular exponential equations compare as things like the interest rate, number of times compounded, and initial rate change. In class, we explored these concepts but never combined a visualization of all of them. This project has inspired us to want to know what real world applications like bank accounts would grow exponentially.

a. I am most proud of the work I did on the mid-term test review. This is because I felt very comfortable with all of the concepts in trigonometry we had covered and went on to recieve a good grade on the test

b. A topic I enjoyed learning was graphing sinusoids because of the connections I could make from them to the unit circle. In class, we made this connection and it helped me to connect most of the content we learned on trigonometry. I also enjoyed the drawing of sinusoids in general because it seemed like the most real world applicable concept.
